Placenta Encapsulation

For thousands of years Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has considered the placenta powerful medicine with various health benefits. As professionally trained Postpartum Placenta Specialists, we provide this restorative in-home service to provide peace of mind regarding the proper handling and processing of your placenta.

Some of these benefits of placenta encapsulation include

  • a faster recovery,

  • renewed energy,

  • balancing of mood and hormones,

  • as well as increased milk production (should you choose to breastfeed).

Our practice is unique from others in the area because we perform this service in your home. We provide you with everything you need (cooler, spill kit, etc) to transport your placenta home from the hospital or birthing center. We then come to your home, at your convenience, to begin the processing. We do this for a number of reasons - the most important being that it provides you the peace of mind and security in knowing that not only is it YOUR placenta that is being encapsulated, but also that you are aware of (and can participate if you'd like) in every step of the process. You will see that we follow the strictest safety guidelines set forth by the World Health Organization, blood-borne pathogen protocols, and food safety practices. By practicing the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) method of placenta encapsulation, we can bring about the warming effect that provides these time-honored benefits.

Another advantage of providing this service in your home, is that there may be some down-time in the processing which allows us time to provide you and your family with some hands-on postnatal support - giving you a glimpse of what it is like to have postpartum support from a Fairy Godmother.

All packages include a cord keepsake and encapsulation. Salves and Tinctures are available as add-on products.

Whenever and however you give birth, your experience will impact your emotions, your mind, your body, and your spirit for the rest of your life.
